Internet when moving in Leipzig – take it with you, change or register again
Are you moving within Leipzig or to Leipzig? We check whether your provider can deliver to the new address, take care of the re-registration or special termination - and register the new Internet in good time so that it is up and running on the move-in day.
Take it with you or take out a new one?
That is decided by the new address. Three cases occur again and again when moving to Leipzig:
Your provider also delivers there
Then we move the contract. There is often a fee for this – we compare whether a new contract is cheaper.
Your provider does not deliver there
Then you may terminate with one month's notice (§ 60 TKG). We register the new Internet and process the termination with you.
New apartment, no contract
We check cable, DSL and fiber optics at the address and order in good time - preferably 3 to 4 weeks before moving in. Register online.
What internet is in the new apartment?
In Leipzig, this is very different: Probstheida, Stötteritz and the surrounding area usually have Vodafone cables, around Paunsdorf often PŸUR, in Engelsdorf and Sommerfeld fiber optics comes. DSL is possible almost everywhere. Give us the address, we will check all providers at once.

How long before the move should I register the Internet?
Three to four weeks in advance is ideal. With cable, it is often faster, with DSL the provider needs lead time for the switch.
What about the interim without internet?
Many providers offer bridging via mobile communications. We will tell you whether this is included in your tariff.
I'm moving away from Leipzig – will you still help?
Yes. We will check the new address in the same way and handle the change of registration or cancellation with you.
How much does your help with the move cost?
Nothing. Advice, testing and registration are free of charge – we are remunerated by the provider.
And the electricity?
We register it at the same time – everything about the move with internet and electricity.
