Wi-Fi at home without a landline – that's possible in Leipzig
You want Internet at home, but not a landline phone? Or there is no line in the apartment at all? Both can be solved. We will show you the ways in Probstheida and Paunsdorf and check what suits you best at your address.
Do I need a telephone connection for Internet at home?
No. With cable, DSL and fiber optics, a telephone number is often included. But you don't have to use it and don't need a phone. And where there is no line at all, Internet also goes via the mobile phone network.
Cable, DSL or fiber optics
The fastest and most stable way if there is a line in the house. You don't have to make phone calls with it.
Wi-Fi via mobile network
A small router with a SIM card: plug it in, done. It's good if there is no line, for the transitional period after the move or for the garden.
Included in the mobile phone tariff
Those who surf little share the Internet from their mobile phones. However, this is usually not enough for the everyday life of a family.

Is Wi-Fi over the mobile network as good as a cable connection?
It is usually good enough for surfing, emails, videos and video calls. How fast it is for you depends on the reception in your home, and the data volume is often limited. If you stream a lot or work from home, you are usually better off with cable, DSL or fiber optics. We check both for your address.

Internet for the apartment via the 5G mobile phone network, with your own router. Whether 5G reaches you depends on your location. We will check this with you.

There are also tariffs with a short term. We will be happy to show you what these are in the store.
I just moved and don't have internet yet – what should I do?
Wi-Fi via the mobile phone network bridges the time until the fixed connection is up and running. How to register it correctly can be found on our page Internet when moving.
